About Think + Drink Like a Futurist 

Think + Drink Like a Futurist began in 2020 as a virtual happy hour for professionals and like-minded folks to gather and discuss current trends and topics over Zoom. Each event featured a panel of professionals offering unique perspective and insight for how to best solve the world’s issues. As gathering restrictions eased, it was hosted in person at Shockey’s downtown Overland Park office through 2023.

Think + Drink was inspired by Futurology, the study of current trends in order to forecast future developments within the social sciences. These ideas formed the monthly discussion topics to imagine positive change through the lens of scientific and historical understanding of the world to better plan for the future.
