Strategic Planner, Executive Coach
Molly Saunders has worn many hats during her professional career. She has worked as city staff in roles including assistant city manager, planning director, public works administrator, and budget manager. Molly relocated to Hong Kong from 2009-2013 and owned a small business there for four years. She is also a trained executive coach and is a licensed professional counselor. Given this array of experience, Molly brings a unique perspective to Shockey Consulting.
Molly believes individuals and organizations are wired for growth and transformation. She is an expert with helping people define a clear vision for the future and the path to achieve effective change. She can easily shift from thinking about the long-term big picture of the future to the specific tactics needed to be successful today. Molly enjoys working with diverse communities, groups, and individuals and is passionate about helping them achieve their goals.
Molly is a K-State Wildcat with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and has master’s degrees from the University of Kansas (Public Administration) and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (Counseling). Molly is also a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner.
When not at work, Molly enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband. She is an avid, though not particularly talented, runner who relies on true-crime podcasts to keep her moving. Molly also loves getting off the grid and traveling to remote places like the jungles of Laos.
