Billie is an urban planner with municipal experience preparing comprehensive plans, including the facilitation of public engagement during plan preparation and adoption. She has participated in projects where she has analyzed and provided recommendations for housing, transportation, historic preservation, and environmental sustainability. Billie is a skilled designer with expertise in developing visually appealing documents that effectively convey data to the public. She is an expert in GIS mapping and creation of GIS data. Billie is studying for her AICP certification and will be starting the University of Wisconsin’s Sustainable Management Masters program in the summer of 2020.
In her spare time, Billie enjoys playing and snuggling with the two cutest and most awesome dogs in the world, Nelson and Lottie. She can be found riding her scooter around Waldo and Brookside with Nelson happily riding along in his Baby Bjorn like carrier and Doggles. Billie enjoys working in her yard and has planted numerous fruit trees and bushes along with planting a garden every year. Billie loves traveling and her dream vacation is a road trip through Southern Europe along the Mediterranean stopping in small villages to meet the local residents and learn about their food and culture. Billie is a not a native Kansas Citian and she does not have the fanatic genetics for the Chiefs, KU, or BBQ. She is a fanatic for the 49ers, ISU Cyclones, and tacos and tamales.
